It may be a little early to start buying fall clothes but it’s never too early to start thinking about what you need to add to your wardrobe. By the time fall rolls around you’ll be busy with homework and recruitment. So get a head start with some ideas for the fall essentials! Here are a few things that we can’t live without:
Layers – Layers are fun because you can be fashionable and warm all at the same time without having to break out that winter jacket! It’s also a chance to mix and match with clothes you already have in your closet. Another plus- when you start to get hot, just rip off that top layer!
Plaid – This is a fall classic. There’s nothing better than a big plaid flannel with some leggings and boots. It’s a cute, easy, and comfy outfit for class or really anywhere! And the neutral colors are perfect for fall :)
Boots – I have 2 pairs of boots that lasted me all through the fall and winter- a pair of brown and a pair of black. The neutral colors go with anything and they’ll keep you warm until spring rolls around! Also consider buying Uggs for the not-so-dressy days. I have a handful that have lasted me years.
Coats – This may not be essential until late fall, but it’s a good idea to start thinking of what you want so that you’re not running around last minute looking for one. I personally love the long puffy coats that go down to my thighs. It has lasted me so long and i’m obsessed with it. Depending on where you live, you may not need a coat, but for you northerners- get ready! :)
Whatever your style may be, these basics can be a great stepping stone for you! Also check out some of our t-shirts to wear under your flannels or to layer with.
