If you’re in a sorority, then you know that there are plenty of opportunities to craft. Whether you are making gifts for your little, decorating for parent’s weekend, or preparing for recruitment, there are plenty of adorable ways to use mason jars. Not only are they creative, but they are sold at a variety of stores and inexpensive, making them accessible for every college student crafting on a budget. Here are a few of my favorite ways to use mason jars!
>Painted Vases: Add this idea to your to-do list! A painted mason jar vase can serve as table center pieces at your chapters’ recruitment party. Use them to brighten up the room. Need something to add to your little’s basket? Grab a bunch of your sorority’s flowers and paint the mason jar vase your sorority’s signature colors. This is a project for every crafter whether you can repaint the Mona Lisa or finger paint a star.
>Label with a hot glue gun: A hot glue gun is a staple in every sorority girl’s craft bag and who knew it could be used for more than just placing rhinestones on your pin box? This simple project only takes a few minutes to complete. Just use your glue gun to write words or create a design on your jar. Once it has dried, paint over the entire jar. Use these jars to hold pens and pencils or as drinking glasses at your formal!
>Picture frames: Replace the $1 dollar wooden picture frames for creative mason jar frames. All you need to do is modge podge your picture on the inside of the jar. Use paint to add a pretty boarder around your picture. It’s so unique and your little will love having it in her basket!
>Candle holders: Light up your room with adorable mason jar candle holders. You can leave the jar plain or use paint markers to draw sayings around the bottom. These make cute gifts for mother’s day and senior send off. They also look great as table centerpieces for an outdoor party. Looks like we’re moving Spring formal outside!
